After you get your Security+. “What’s next?”
Practical skills is right! THEN worry about what the next credential is.
Certs are gateways, but you really have to work on practical skills.
Don’t be afraid to go back to the drawing board of your A+, and Net+, or even just reinforcing your understanding of Security+ by doing some form and of cybersecurity course that applies more practical skills to get good until you manage to land a job.
I studied my butt off to pass A+ and Net+. Unfortunately, having those doesn’t mean I know how to apply it in the workforce.
Those are just exam certs that employers look at. Beyond that practical skills and/or work experience is everything.

Thanks a lot Venicia, great advices 👍🏽 But still I have a question : if I get the security + certification (i'm currenlty working on it) and if i want to become a SOC analyst (or any cybersecurity analyst job) how can i get any job without learning SIEM tools and how to use them? 🤔 I mean I'm sure the certification is great to have, but I guess I also have to learn some specific cybersecurity analyst's tools, no ?

I have the SEC+, but wanted to know how can I get into GRC. I understand ISACA requires you to have 5+ years experience before you can obtain the CISA. Is there another option or Cert, or maybe a skill I could work on in place of certain certifications to get into a compliance type of job. And is it possible for GRC jobs to hire without the CISA or CISM? What steps do you recommend.

If I am trying different areas of cyber security, is there such thing as stretching yourself to thin? For instance, if I were dabbling in computer forensics, but I wanted to do network security or risk management then would it be to much to do both?
