Truth. I have payed like $300 in cleaning fees, but was still asked to start the dishwasher, start the bedding in the wash, take out the trash, etc. it’s a joke.

Just got an Airbnb at the beach and I was confused on why I the owner wanted the place spotless even though we payed a cleaning fee along with the booking 👎🏿

Hotels won't charge you for normal cleaning fees while still expecting you to clean. Hotels won't cancel on you out of the blue at the last moment just because they feel like it. If there's something wrong with the room, you can request a new room and staff is available at night. If you're still unhappy, they may even refund you. With AirBS on the other hand...you'll have to suck it up.

I got AirB&B and small TURO fleet in same town, both of them 30-35% down compare to last year so far. Don’t see difference 🤷🏻‍♂️ AirB&B and TURO in the same shoes. When it’s rain, it’s rain for everyone

I think Turo could eventually be affected by the same municipalities that are putting an end to AirBnB if you consider the big players we're up against. The major rental companies are pouring millions of dollars a year into local economies by renting space at airports. If Turo heavily affects their bottom line, then government will be forced to step in. Reporting has shown that the hotels in Atlanta had a LOT to do with the ban of AirBnB there. Government tried to spin it by and saying it was because of home prices, but AirBnB was crushing hotels in ATL. If Turo starts heavily affecting companies that local municipalities have given significant tax breaks to, then we might see some pushback on Turo.

I rent a small fleet on Uber Carshare in Oz. Often the cars come back very clean but sometimes they get dirty from use. Dirtiness as a result of use would be the same if I drove them. I must have "reasonable use" expectations.

It's my job to clean, leave the car as spotless and fresh inside and out as humanly possible.

A shiney, super clean, really well maintained car is my way to make sure my borrowers get extra value when they choose my car over another. I think it should be like stepping into a hotel room after the housekeeper has finished . This is reflected in customer comments and then in my bookings. This is one important contributing factor which means I am far ahead in terms of number of bookings I get than all the other competing cars in my area.

Air B&Bs cost more than hotels. They charge you cleaning fees, but never clean and some are outright dirty. I stick to hotels.

You didnt talk about how the cars are getting wrecked and GAP is not covering the underwater hosts or how markets have become so saturated that 2023's are going for the same price as 2013's and now hosts are having issues making car payments.

Most business have a life spam of 10 yrs, from a stock investment point of view. Last year Game Stop was due, The game stop stock went up to over 200, normally game stop stock don't go that high, regular people won't let game stop retail to crash. Are Turo next, I think No, Hertz car rental almost went out of business, Someone kept it in business, I kept a few tap on Hetz car business when it ws about going out of business but not long enough to see Tom Brady did a commerical on it.
