These 2 drunk soldiers I’ve never seen before were in the hallway smashing up the fire extinguisher box. I didn’t want that shit to fall on me so I called them MPs and told them there’s two drunk guys breaking the box.

No shit like 8 MP cars come sirens on speeding into the parking lot, they all jump out with Billy clubs ready to start smashing heads. One of them runs up to me and yells “where’s the riot?? We were told there’s a riot at the barracks!”

Holy shit I never called them again.

MP's know to just call the Platoon Sergeant and let him deal with it. If it's real out of control they call the Company Guns. It's more fun and less paperwork for everyone.

The best job was being a mechanic for the MPs. I got a phone call to come get my husband when he could have, potentially, gotten a life changing DUI at a military gate in Kitzingen Germany. 😃

Came through our barracks I was with TOP and our CO. MP’s dog pissed on TOP’s boots. I won’t go any further.

My first call to the Infantry Barracks was Larceny 3 weeks after the fact. I’ve never felt more useless in my life. WTF am I supposed to do 3 weeks down the road with no evidence?

MP's would dare to come into our barracks unless they had a team. Usually we just drag out the soldier they were looking for. Sometimes we gave them the wrong guy. But we didn't like him so it was okay if they falsely arrested the wrong guy

My Reserve MP Det had the MP’s called to a disturbance caused by the MP’s having a softball after party outside the barracks. 15 guys with trucks all parked in a circle in the parking lot drinking beer and listening to loud music.

Suddenly every available patrol car on post is coming into the parking lot from every possible direction. Both green suit MP’s and blue suit DACP’s hop out, plus the two on duty Kilo’s. Of course there’s one guy who thinks he’s the least drunk…and it’s me…

I see the one green suit’s r I recognize, Sgt Micue, walk up beer in each hand and offer him one. He looks at me and says “This is you guys? Look, we had a noise complaint. Could you just keep it down.”

Turns out the female MP who was sick and supposed to be on quarters had came down to the party and was mad that we told her to take her sick butt back to bed. So she called the dispatch and said there was a loud part or riot going on outside.

Good times. Strangely not the only time we had the cops called to a softball party.

I was in the army on a AFB in Wichita on a TDY and all the guys on my dorm floor were SF, those guys were awesome. They would take me to the local bars and got food spots and the day's When I'd walk onto base hammered they'd just drive me to my room. Miss those guys. 😂

My RSM got pulled over for speeding 10km/hour over the limit on my base before we got deployed to Afghanistan and got in a physical altercation with an MP.

The funny thing is he still got deployed, and the MP got retrained.

I don't recall them ever approaching our barracks in Germany, ever.
Infantry are rough.
Tankers are...another level.

Problem with the MPs rolling up to the infantry barracks is that no matter how much there is between grunts, the blue falcon MOS is never welcome in our crack house.

Dude. I get back from my engineers motorpool. I somehow got put into the infantry barracks. and to be honest, I can't tell you how many times I see 4 MP cars outside.

That would definitely be the first week working the road for that MP, because getting called to deal with infantry is a daily thing.

I blacked when I was overseas, just got orders from the Captain not to feed the public you know they would gather and we don't need a crowd of people in a risky situation at the a check point, I remember the orders given but when seen a kid there I just have to give the little dude some candy because this war gonna suck for both of us, next thing I know it seem was dazed and realize a whole crowd of kids gathered at the back of the Bradly like a lot of kids, and o shit! I was in trouble and doing push-ups! disobeyed a lawful order bit a trouble, but blacked out sort a crowd had formed but nobody got hurt and a kid got some candy.

As much as we infantry cats like to exuberate our inflated sense of self, garrison life is just as mundane and boring as most jobs.

MPs raiding infantry barracks usually ended with MPs in dumpsters when I was in the Army
