I will make this comment again!! stop operating aircraft for compensation and hire while picture taking and making film clips for Youtube. The daily mail version of this story is accompanied by several glamor shots taken of her in the pilot seat while airborne. Airline pilots and commercial pilots post hundreds if not thousands of videos produced while 300 plus people in the cabin are trusting you to pay attention to operational concerns. I have taken a share of pushback for writing about this previously but if you have an instructor mounting cameras in the cockpit [ which is not needed for instruction or review.] find another instructor. I taught students for about 2 years, and this is not giving your best.

Does she being the pilot instructor make her at fault regardless if a student is flying the plane?

Its moments like this, where in the absence of all facts, we try to level blame based on facts at hand. This aircraft is not overly sophisticated but there are more complexities that can cause problems. As a professional pilot I can ascertain some potential reasons, but until the investigation is complete it is just speculation. At this point pilots will have their "take-a-ways" from this and think about the very unforgiving nature of flying and apply some additional attention in the critical modes of flight such as take-offs, landings, and go-around. My prayers go out to the occupants and their families.

Or maybe forbid cockpit phone activity 100% to a gen of young pilots that have grown with their faces screen locked to a tik tok their entire lives. 23 yr olds now are not as adult as 23yr olds 30 40 50 + yrs ago and 18 yr olds cant even find their ways to and from work without a gps navigation so why are they operating airplanes?
