How to Downgrade the Fallout 4 Next Gen Update

In this tutorial, I will show you how to downgrade from the Fallout 4 Next Gen Update also called 1.10.9 to the previous update 1.10.163. Also yes I did re-upload this I had a few updates to make to the last video and I think this one is way better also it's a shorter video so that's nice.

for anybody crashing every time follow this step. go into fallout 4 directory find the data folder inside look for all files that start with "cc" these are creation kit files for the next gen update and will crash your game every time if you downgrade. delete all of them

Thanks for this! I had gone ahead and upgraded, figuring I'd just wait out the mod storm. But after a couple months there were still some mods that are in my "won't play without" category that are simply abandoned at this point. I was jonesin quite a bit to play again and figured I'd go ahead and follow this. I already had all my mods installed in MO2 so I went through every mod that had the F4SE symbol and re-downloaded them for the 1.10.163 version and it seems to be fine. I did crash after a couple hours playing but not sure if downgrading or if business as usual FO4. Appreciate you making this video!

Big thanks my dude, you just saved my sanity. Couldn't get rid of fallout london after downloading it and i had to reinstall fallout 4 which left me with the next-gen update version.

This actually helped me to get the game running properly again from a fresh install.
The old way of downloading depots in the steam console, and taking the files to replace the NG files don't work as the game continues on crashing after a couple or few seconds starting up.

amazing video, took me the same amount of time following along to downgrade
, only thing i had to do was go back into my mod manager and manually redownload the older versions of mods that didnt allow the game to start, and for peace of mind knowing there isnt any conflictions

Worked for me. Now I can enjoy the game without stutters and it feels great! Some mods that I upgraded like "high fps physics" should go to a previous version which mathes 1.10..163.

Hey i'm new to modding I downloaded that version of the script extender and it said <Data? not valid or something along those lines. Did I do something wrong or is that to be expected since it's a previous version?

Here's the problem I ran into. When I click the F4se launcher, a notice says "I have 1.10.163 installed but the newest version was expected. game will load without mod manager." What have I done wrong? I double checked that I had installed the F4SE for 163.
