Joseph Forsyth, the founder of Bagdad, a historic village located within my hometown of Milton, Florida in Santa Rosa County.

Watch to find out if he is really buried standing up, like some believe so that he could face the site of his beloved town and mill site.

I’m so interested in this. My granny was a Simpson, of the Simpsons that were in partnership with Forsyth at the mill. She was a penton that married into the Simpson family. I’m particularly interested in the murder charge that lead to Forsyth fleeing New Orleans. Do you have any information on that? Also a forsyth daughter/ sister married a Simpson a.p Simpson so I’m trying to see if that’s my families connection or not. Still so very interesting 🫶🏻

IF YOU SEEN HOW SMALL MY LATE HUSBAND HAD GOTTEN, IT IS QUITE FEASIBLE THAT THIS MAN COULD BE BURIED STANDING UP.
