Russia’s military, once touted as a global powerhouse, is now crumbling before the world. Putin’s invasion of Ukraine was supposed to be swift, yet it revealed a nightmare: untrained conscripts, outdated tanks, and shocking losses. How did this “superpower” fall so hard?

The old saying I dont remember where this originated "Russia has a very large and modern army, problem is the Modern Army is not very Large and the Large Army is not very modern."

Russia's most powerful navy is a fleet of luxury yachts off the coast of Monte Carlo.

From what they did in Ukraine, wasting men and equipment. No wonder that Russia today are not even better from China. Russia put their best and experienced men to fertilized Ukraine's soil. Sad.

I love how the T-14 Armata was a Tank that was supposed to be domestically produced to avoid Western Imports just to end up with a Tank that heavily relied on Western Imports…

I was stationed in Germany in the 1960's. We would laugh when we saw Soviet troops. To us, they were garbage. We never saw well maintained equipment from their side, while we were always ready to go. Nothing has changed.

Russia has been a 'paper tiger" for many years and just running on the hype of yesteryear. That is evident by Ukraine handing them their azz on the battlefield.

I think that became obvious when they had to ask North Korea for help.

Russia invaded a country with barely a standing army and still couldn't seal the deal.

Yes I was convinced Russia does have the second strongest military Not in the world but in Ukraine. But after Wagner Mercenary Group split into two different groups and marched in to Russia untouched.. Now I full agree Russia has the second strongest in Russia. It is nothing but a paper tiger.

That fight between 2 Bradleys and the T-90, when the best of the Russian armor got smoked by 2 American infantry fighting vehicles, has become the most famous video of the armor warfare in history...
Sure, it may have been a lucky strike. It's possible the T-90 had some mechanical malfunction prior to engaging the Bradleys. It's also possible that if we repeated the same scenario 10 times, the T-90 would win 9 out of 10... This are all possible explanations for the end result.. But despite all that those 10 or so minutes of video have cemented in people's minds, that the American armor is superior to the Russian.. And this hurts Ivan the most...
They (and the whole world) always knew that the West has more advanced air force, with aircraft the Russians salivate over.. They also knew, ever since the 1940s, that the NATO and US in specific, have order of magnitude more advanced, numerous and effective naval forces than Russian's. And throughout all those painful decades the Soviet, and the Russian military were proud of the fact that they have the most numerous, and they thought - the most advanced tank force in the world..
Tanks were Soviet/Russian babies and their main weapon system meant to be used to crush the Western Europe's defense and penetrate to the Atlantic Ocean within a month...
And this is why a complete failure of the Russian armored warfare in Ukraine in general, and the humiliation of witnessing their top of the range tank being obliterated and defeated by the type of vehicle that wasn't supposed to pose any significant threat to a T-90 (at least without employing the TOW missile), is the ultimate middle finger that the West gave to Russia..
And the evidence is here to stay forever...

Russia is that big fat kid that appears to be tough but has nothing behind it. Ukraine wa has been 3 yrs, you would think a "superpower" would have been done in 2 months.

People that are already clicking on interesting topics, already have a good grasp of the lead up details and don't want 20-30 minutes with 10 minutes of filler to stretch it right out, while still getting basic details wrong.
