I started listening to KPOP early this year. It was a gateway for me wanting to learning more about Korea and its culture.


I started listening to more KPOP groups (and there's lots of them). This got me interested in now learning the language, so I can enjoy more of the songs.

Here in Australia around 2010 they started a Pop Asian music show on TV, It took me 5 years to notice the show and since then i became a fan of K-Pop, J-Pop etc, In Japan i'm a fan of One Ok Rock, Men With A Mission, Arashi and Perfume .... In Korea it's Stray Kids, BTS, Black Pink, Red Velvet, Taeyeon, and KARD.

American southerner here and older (27) I like all kinds of Korean music (really music from all over the world 🌎) I own a lot of IU albums as well and immediately recognized she was talking about Autumn Morning 가을 아침 😂 Once I finish my degree I hope to come to Korea, thank you for your videos I’d like to know as much as possible and these are really helpful 감사합니다

Edit: Oh, I got into Kpop and Korea because my grandfather and father. My grandpa was in the war and my dad was stationed there during the 80s (student protest era). Grandpa died when I was three and I always wanted a connection with him and the added bonus of my dad having been there and it being a big impact on him helped me even more in my interest. I’ve been learning about Korea and Korean culture since including the History from Goguryeo all the way to the end of the Joseon era and modern times.

In all honesty Crush got me into kpop lol and IU I recently got into BTS like around April of this year but I’m not like Crazy about them also the Group Ateez but I was into them during their dancing days and I’m still a listener lol but yeah Bts is huge in the US but I wish more people knew about Crush and IU because they are really good artist 😩

I started listening to K-Pop around a year ago. It's the first time I've heard artists mix many different genres of music into one song. EDM, Rap, Hip-Hop, etc. Love it! Blackpink is my favorite group.

I really like BTS they have different genres of music and there is atleast one song for every mood ✌️ and I heard that most of the Koreans don't care much about k-pop as foreigners do. As always great video Mike and I hope you get those views you deserve 👊 maybe you should collaborate with some Youtubers might help you with getting some more subscribers and views it's just my opinion pls don't feel obligated 🙂

I got into KPop, or more likely heard my first KPop song, from a radio station called X.A.M.P.H (I think it doesn't exist anymore). It wasn't just KPop music though. My first song was Dok2 (ft. The Quiett & Beenzino) - Don't Do That. I was still in High School though when my parent's friend (whom we consider family) had stayed over for a few days; '09, I think. I can't say I'm the type who goes Gaga for KPop. If you were to really ask me who my bias for the girls or boys group, I wouldn't have much of an answer 🤔. I'm into KPop bands though like EXO, VIXX, SHINee, IU, AKMU, LUNA, TAEYEON, TWICE and etc. I agree with some of the things that Ashley said.
