Because It will eventually replace the Avalon and I don’t think the Avalon is sold in Japan, but the Crown is, so they can just have the one model globally.

They make it because not everyone out there believes that CUV’s are the greatest thing. We know that sedans are better handling overall and safer in true emergency situations. They are also classier in style. They have plenty of room.

How is this normal for Toyota? The Crown is supposed to be their new luxury economy car. Toyota’s interiors have always been sub-par to the competition, while this new car seems to focus a lot on the interior comforts.

You can tell by this video that even the dumbest people among us can become car reviewers. One big reason why the Crown replaced the Avalon is because the Avalon targeted an older demographic, and it was not an easy car for older people to get in and out of. The Crown has a higher "H" point than the Avalon, which is the seating position. The Crown is designed to give the older demographic a sedan that suits their needs. Go to any dealer and ask them why Avalons were traded in. It's because they were too low for the older individual who bought it.
