Thank you for your service guys, I'm going to be joining you guys as a Volunteer Firefighter next year, I come from a Firefighting family as my grandpa was the Fire Chief, I appreciate first responders Fire Fighters EMS and others more than anything, I can't wait till I'm able to do this :)

for anyone who doesn't work in ems/fire/police, when you see a ambulance or other emergency vehicle go by, don't pull right out after they pass, more than likely right behind them is another vehicle going just as fast and weighing just as much or more, not just for our safety but for yours as well if not more for you as a engine crew will likely be okay (maybe not people in front) but if a engine hits you cause you pulled out you arent likely to live as these are very heavy vehicles and dont stop fast, please please please watch before pulling out, just take a extra 15 seconds to look and make sure, I promise the time wont be wasted
