Awesome song!! Been a Firefighter/EMT for almost 6 years and I wish I could forget some of the things I've seen and been through. Thoughts and prayers go out to all emergency services personnel. Thank you all for what you do everyday and I pray you go home at the end of every shift.

People joke about PTSD, but it's one of the most real things in life. Thank you for this great song and I encourage anyone who struggles with PTSD to find someone and talk to them.

I've been an EMT and a police officer and wow this song really hit home. I've seen things that will stay with me until I pass, now my son is an officer and I pray every day I get in that car, " God please be with me my son and my brothers and sisters today. Help me to help those who can't help themselves, amen."

My husband was a firefighter and I know he has PTSD. He can recall almost every call that was tragic. He still smells smoke when nobody else does. Thank you for all of his brothers and sisters within the first responder service.

One call undone it this day, i can still see her hair that was stuck to the headbed tape. Her mom's screams begging us to save her daughter still haunt me. I never imagined that our failed attempts to save an 8 year old would unlock the years of bad calls that i had ran. The nightmares from that night are forever burnt into my memory.

when I hear people talking crap about our emergency personal I'm like what if we didn't do it who would it's not cut out for everyone I just thank the Lord up above for letting us make it back home safe to our family's and giving us the strength to keep doing it. I love my small role in the firedepartment because I know at the end of the day I've done my best to help our community

Get help brothers and sisters, we've all felt that pain, if we don't help each other eventually we won't be able to help our communities

this song gave me goosebumps. My fiance is a paramedic, and I have seen the haunted looks of the ones that were lost. She grieves for every one and still goes out everyday for the next one. Thank you to all of you out there that do what you do

22+ years of service. I didn't know the signs of PTSD until it was almost to late. Law, Fire, or EMS; we need watch for those health issues and suicidal signs and be ready to assist our brothers and sisters in their times of need.. Thank you Kevin, what a powerful song with an even more powerful message.

I remember when the paramedics came to me and took me to the hospital 2 weeks ago. I felt so blessed, secured and loved. They really made a difference in my life when I was so scared. God bless them all <3

22 years, volunteer Fire/EMS. you never forget the ones you couldn't save. The only comfort is knowing that in the end, you treated each and every one with caring, compassion and respect.  The blank stare in the mirror when you get home, the images that play over and over in your mind. You hold on, and hold it in until the job is done. Sometimes it's hours, sometimes days or weeks, but it always hits you.  Every loss leaves a scar.
