I'm often confused by the lack of pollical discourse in political conversations. Some of us had to learn this stuff in school so we can tell the difference in the political ideology between Democrats and Republicans. Smaller government is ideal for keeping each state balanced with it's own legislature but this sort of government led us to Governor Wallace keeping his Alabama schools from being integrated with the force of the National Guard. The divide is greater with less understanding now. Issues to pander to doners to get larger contributions and then spinning it to the somnambulant public convincing them it's a good thing and moving further away from the politics. Being for or against abortion doesn't make you a politician, nor does gun control, prayers in schools, the border, transgender rights or the sanctity of a Christian marriage. These are moral debates determined by theologist law. And if you want to feel vitriol against someone for thinking differently than you, then you clearly do not belong in politics. You do not belong in political discussions. And no matter who you vote for, understand the candidate's qualifications, experience and record. And if you claim righteous indignation while simultaneously citing race or gender, you have failed to be justified in your point.
