I was already ok with the lack of throwing weapons in Skyrim, but the moment I picked the riekling spear and realized it actually works as an goddamn arrow was too much for me.

Spears and throwing weapons, literally some of the most common weapons used throughout all of human history, from cavemen to basically nowadays.

Oblivion and Skyrim: what do you mean, you can throw rocks? Also what's this about poles with sharp things on one of the ends? Just like, throw a fireball dude.

Skyrim's crafting would actually improve throwing weapons because the main issue with them in Morrowind was the higher quality one's had extremely limited values. There's like 5 Daedric Darts in the entire game

Weapon variety is very important for an rpg game, in my opinion. Even if not all weapons are viable in the long run, just having the option to mess around with different fighting styles really enhances the inmersion and replayability
