Knowing I won't remember most of these tips, I save videos like yours into a YT folder. "Video Editing".

I love Videos like the Camera Conspiracies one! It highlights things which are easily missed AND helps everyone learn stuff together so big love to Mr Conspiracies for making it! Hopefully this one was valuable to others too ☺

I think this video is done in a brilliant way. You react to the original creator without talking him down and giving solutions which are helpful for the viewer.
Thumbs up!

Another way to fine tune adjustments in the inspector is to double click on the values, like you're going to type in a new value, but then you can move the blinking cursor to any of the whole or decimal places and use the up and down arrow keys to change the number in increments of one. So you can adjust a whole number, the tens place, hundreds place, etc. to really fine tune the adjustment in the inspector

My #1 Gripe with Resolve - I can't change speed on multiple audio clips with "Pitch Correction" unchecked. I have to manually uncheck each one. Not fun when you have to do several hundred viewers comments a month. Mr Alex Tech, please helpl

Well it's happened. My universe where I worked with Kasey for Sony and my world where I watch this channel have overlapped. It's like something in the matrix.

5:15 This is what I do. Select the "list" icon at the top of media pool (to the right of "grid" icon). Right click "clip name". Check "Date Added". Scroll over till you see the Data added column. Select "Data Added" till it toggles the most recent files to the top. Switch back to "Grid" view.

Now all you're files you drag into the media pool will always sorted by most resently added.

I learned about the fine tuning with the alt key because I found out one day it works for fine tuning audio levels and I thought, "I wonder what else this works with!?" great find!

At 7:30 Fine adjustment I found yesterday whilst trying very fine adjustment that double clicking in any number field of the inspector that you can get really fine keyboard adjustment by highlighting the number field. ie. "Rotation Angle -0.458" double click left mouse button on the number to highlight and then use the up and down keys on the keyboard to fine adjust the right most digit (the 8). Double click again to highlight and then click a third time to select any of the individual numbers for quicker less precise refinement. So far it has worked in every field I have tested....really good for corner pinning images.

Your videos have helped me so much that maybe I can help you here? You showed ways of fine-tuning - but you can fine tune much more accurately than that.

I often prepare animations of parts of my artwork in Affinity Photo. Then, after the animation has played, I might have to cut to the EXACT SAME SECTION in a PNG of the ENTIRE drawing. Perhaps to zoom out from that section to the complete work. That match has to be pixel-perfect in order to work seamlessly. I can show you that in action if it helps explain.

Double-click in any setting. Now use the four arrow keys. The left and right keys will allow changes to be made in whole units, tenths, hundredths, or thousandths.

Now use the up and down arrows to change the selected setting one unit at a time.

I usually place one clip on top of the other. Reduce the top clip to about 50% opacity. And then keep altering zoom and position until the pixels match. It's fiddly, but it gives perfect results.

I've just noticed a couple of other mentions of this in the comments, but not the use of up and down arrow to change values in single steps. When accuracy of position and scale really matters, it works.

Love that guy Casey! Funny. But he makes some good points. You definitely help him out here. Me too!

Man I say this in the most masculine and non-romantic way it can be said, BRO, I LOVE YOU! You and Casey Faris are fucking Chads in DA VINCI, I edit videos for a few churches and as they grow the needs grow, and anytime I need to learn something or apply some technique I had no knowledge of or even knew existed until I needed it, I come to you or Casey. And I am now leaned on for creation, and your videos always help me rise to the occasion. I look like I been editing videos all my life and only been editing videos for about 2 1/2 years now. And it's so many levels to it that I did not think I could keep up. But you have been a staple for me. So once again thank you bro. I sincerely mean it man. I don't know if you read these, but at least one viewer appreciates your hard work.

@MrAlexTech this completely baffled me; I thought I clicked on CC’s new video (by the thumbnail), then you appeared! Took me a few minutes to realise what the hell was going on 🤪. It’d be so funny if you two did a Davinci podcast tutorial together. Make it happen! Please!

Great tutorial Alex! Here’s a quick tip that no one ever talks about & I use all the time. When grabbing audio levels in the timeline & you only want a fine adjustment, hold the shift key down whilst dragging the levels up or down. It’s a great & quick method for fine tuning audio levels.👍🙏🔥🤘

You never stop learning about resolve. It is so complete and powerful. And NO, I don't work for them.
