I genuinely really lile the idea of a Bruce with no money who had to get yoked and one shot villains w straight jabs he learned off youtube vs getting martial arts training from the greatest masters in the world yk like it makes a lot more sense that batman is a guy that grew up in Gotham and suffered through the crime and anarchy THROUGH HIS WHOLE LIFE as opposed to one night in crime alley for a billionaire playboy who could afford therapy and just doesn't want to go

Peter Parker grew up in a working class household with an elderly aunt and uncle. Any poorer and he's probably begging for change between classes.

Absolute Batman being a satire of what people think of Batman would be a really interesting concept, but the writer is the same guy who made the Batman who laughs. So I have a very little hope it being satire, and more believe Scott Snyder is trying to make this version as edgy/cool as possible.

It's an obvious nod to The Dark Knight Returns design where Batman was a hulking mass of muscles with a thick bat symbol too. But nobody says anything about it

I'm gonna start collecting all sorts of nickles if people keep making bad Batman takes that age poorly.
I get that this isn't for everyone, but it's a new universe with an emphasis on putting new twists on classic DC characters, and I love what they've done so far.
