Doug Emhoff Says He Had an Affair During His 1st Marriage

Second gentleman Doug Emhoff is facing intense scrutiny for an affair he had back in 2009 when he was married to his first wife, Kerstin. Emhoff admits the affair cost him his marriage. Emhoff met Kamala Harris in 2013, four years after the affair. In a statement, his ex-wife says "He is a great father to our kids, continues to be a great friend to me and I am really proud of the warm and supportive blended family Doug, Kamala and I have built together."
