I tried online therapy one time so far and only once since I haven’t had an appointment set up since I think December so the distance part is the truest one

I have 8/8 on depression and 7/8 on anxiety. And I haven't talked to anybody about it.

Authentic Mental health my depression makes if difficult for me to sleep also to get out of bed I have had face to face in a hospital therapy but never tried online therapy however I checked out betterhelp
Was going to use it but was told you have to pay to speak to a therapist I decided not to try it again I'm looking for free online therapy I'm sending this comment because I couldn't sleep and just watched your video about online therapy thanks for all your helpful video s I'm glad to be a part of this community for Mental health even know I don't always speak take care Charlie

I don't think a therapist can outperform the science that supports it. And all the Youtube therapists don't seem to know answers for things like comorbidity. I don't have any great answer. But I also wouldn't pretend to counsel people. If I had the goal, I might qualify to be licensed, but I am unsure about a lot of the answers. Therapy began as a "technique" a century ago. Maybe free association had some validity to "find your own answers", but the actual roots of problems should be better understood. Pop psych as in "pull your own strings" was a fad. I heard Albert Ellis speak on rational emotive therapy. It somewhat was an attack on mental illusions. So it comes back to virtual help is limited by the base of knowledge. That base is not solid as rock.
