death is scary, this guy calms my worry a bit but not completely because hes dead already, hes experienced death already. before birth where were we? i dont remember much as a baby the very most a toddler going to nursery and few moments at my earliest years thats the most i can remember.

Alan is wrong. It is conceivable that all sentient organisms cease to exist. No conscious beings whatsoever. There was a time when that was true.
We only exist for an instant since we change continuously in small increments that are made significant over time. I am not the me when I was 3 years old, or 20, or 75. My body and accumulated memories continually change. Consequently, there is no absolute me. We then are mental and physical processes. When some dies the process that is them ceases.
