I stopped coloring my hair in my early 40s because when my grey came in it's thick and course. The dye dries it out and causes it to break. I also stopped relaxing my hair when I was in my early 50s and went natural and now my hair is streaked with grey and I love it!

I was born with gray hair (my children also) and have always color my hair. But after I was diagnosed with cancer. After I complete my chemo treatment and and my hair started growing back, it was all gray 🤷🏽‍♀️..it is what it is... I am embracing my gray hair❤️❤️❤️

As far as comments about "letting yourself go", I find that it never comes from men. It is always other women. I realize they are speaking from their own insecurities. Their problems with it are theirs. Their problems shouldn't be your problem. It may sound cliché but a woman who fully embraces her authentic self unapologetically is a very powerful force.

Going Grey has brought so many surprises! When I first started to go grey in my 30s, I got a lot of negativity & quit. When I went grey in my 50s the biggest surprise was modeling opportunities💜

Why is it that women who color their hair are emboldened to ask those naturally gray why we don’t color your hair? It’s not because I’m lazy and not because I can’t afford it; it’s my choice to be authentically me and be comfortable in my own skin. In the words of my illustrious cousin, you do you, Boo!

I love my grey hair.I was nervous at first but during the pandemic I stop coloring and yes it was a process but I felt I was embracing me. I did get some family members that were not encouraging but I tuned them out. I've been natural for 7yrs. God created.

Both ladies hair is BEAUTIFUL. GOD don't make mistakes. I started graying in 8th grade. It's definitely hereditary. I use to get a rinse and also relaxed but now I embrace my 4c natural salt & pepper hair and I couldn't feel more Beautiful.

They're both beautiful women and their hair matches their personalities. I wish more people, not just women, would embrace their gray hair, but society still frowns upon it; especially for women in the workforce.

I was coloring my hair prior to my cancer diagnosis. Lost all my hair and now it’s growing back very very gray! I sent a picture to a friend so excited to show off my growth and she says it’s cute you just need to dye it! That hurt a little BUT I will not color it ever again!

I stopped dyeing my grays this June before turning 47 and it wasn't a big deal because I didn't talk about it.
I did my research and decided for myself that it was time. I've noticed my colleagues looking at them but they haven't said anything & neither have I. This is what 47 looks like now 🤷🏽‍♀️👩🏾‍🦳🙂
