The girls and I ran into Walmart to do a quick grocery shopping haul for fruits, veggies, milk, eggs, and additional grocery needs for family members coming to visit. I share a cost break down and meal ideas for these items. Thanks for watching! {And the Q&A videos will start later this week -- oh, boy!)

Oh, I love how you handled the watermelon carving kit. I can't commit to it now. Perfect! Thank you for being a wise mother for us to learn from.

Aldi is big here in my part in Ohio, I shop there regularly. I even quit using coupons as a rule and replaced that with just using Aldi. And yes, you need a quarter to "rent" the cart and you need your own bags or you can buy them at Aldi. Ours sells paper bags for 6 cents and big plastic bags for 10 cents. I take my reusable tote bags usually.

I love Aldi! Can't wait to see your haul from there.  We are a family of 6 and I do all my major shopping at Aldi and then supplement when I need to from Sam's or Wal-mart.  I buy all our produce, canned veggies, frozen veggies/fruit, dairy, frozen meats and some fresh meat, cereal, baking goods.  You name it, I have probably tried it.  I shop about every 2-3 weeks and spend usually around 200 or a little less for what we eat.  Love seeing your tips and tricks for things.  Keep it coming! God bless your family.

As a german myself now living in the UK (and still mainly go to Aldi) the 2nd best after saving money is saving time (in my opinion). Who needs 200 cheese variations anyway, less distractions and fewer selection might get some time to get used to it but I found it's a huge time saver (quicker ways and smaller stores).

We have been shopping at ALDI for 10+ years. When we were stationed in Germany we discovered ALDI and never looked back! Fast forward to 2015 and they have GREATLY improved their image, their food selection, and overall shopping experience. I mainly shop there now. We live in Ohio and ALDI is quite popular here! My town ALDI has Kerrygold butter and cheese, a great selection of ALDI brand Gluten Free products, organic fruits and veggies, yogurts and almond milks that are THM approved, and much more! Have a blast at your ALDI! Can't wait to see your haul and how you like it!

You are going to LOVE Aldi's! If your disappointed I will be shocked. Yes, you put a quarter in for a shopping cart, but get it back at the end. Aldi's prices are amazing & our Aldi's has lots of organic items! If you go to Bonnie Hoellein YouTube channel she posted a video that the water balloon was the best invention ever. They show how to do it & everything. She posted it three days ago & the title was The best invention ever. Her husband & kids all seemed to love it. Hope you are continuing to get better each & everyday. 😊

I buy 90% of my groceries and paper products from Aldi. Everything else I get is from Dollar Tree or Walmart.  I love your videos and you are an inspiration to me to be more patient with my kids.

You are so lucky that your Walmart store sells the Almond Breeze milk in plastic. Mine only sells the carton & it bothers me because I can't recycle the carton in my area. I live alone & shop once a month so I buy four cartons every month. I always recycle everything as well as compost kitchen waste for the garden. This means I only put trash out four times a year at $4/bag. My sister pays $25 every month for her trash pick up because she doesn't recycle but I'm going to make her because she'll have an extra $252/year in her pocket!! Aldi's does require a quarter for the shopping cart but you get it back when you put the cart back where it belongs--that's why they charge you a quarter for a cart. Smart thinking Aldi's!!

Love Aldi!!! I do most of our shopping there and save a fortune! Yes, it is a quarter per cart you want to use. You also have to buy grocery bags or you can collect boxes through the store or bring your own bags.

We shop at Aldi quite often, mostly because it is very close. You can't always get *everything* you need there, so I end up having to go to another store for some odds and ends. Definitely bring quarters for the carts, and shopping bags as well. Also, the aisles are a bit narrow in some of the older Aldi stores, so just remember that sometimes it requires a little patience, and avoiding weekends is good! There are some great deals to be had, so hopefully you have a good experience!

Oh! And the no bags provided thing works just like Costco or Sam's Club. All of our Aldi's around here have boxes lying around or some you can ask for, just like the warehouse clubs. We bring a few reusable bags and then just use the boxes. I tend to buy a lot of cans and such at aldi, so it works out well for me to just put them in boxes anyways.

The produce at Aldi is hit or miss sometimes so if you can, find out when their produce is delivered and try to go that day or soon after. Naomi is such a super helper and Amelia is so adorable! Thank you for another great video!

You can use the pumpkin carving kits for watermelons. I wouldn't buy them now, but after Halloween you can usually get the booklet and carving tools for a quarter at Walmart. Also, if they like the little pig or a basket, we made one from watching a youtube video and it was pretty easy. Thanks for sharing! Would love to hear how the brownies turn out!

Yes, for Aldi you need a quarter for the shopping cart and you need to bring your own bags to bag your own groceries.  Or you can buy grocery bags from them if you don't have  any.  I shop at Aldi all the time and their prices really can't be beat.

I saw a review of the water balloons. They inflate best if you fill a tub half full of water and rest the balloons on the water when filling them. That way they filled the, oat and did not brake
