Ottawa went to 3d when Melnyk purchased the team. This is a common thing for team to change their image with a new owner. Then they went to a polished 3d after how popular the red swoosh 3rd was. As an Ottawa fan I am very happy with this change.

Great choice going back to the 2D. Remember, the Sens were inaugurated in early 90s. Millennials, who now make up maybe the majority of their fans with purchasing power, grew up on this logo. They will enthusiastically buy these up thanks to nostalgia/emotional attachment to it.

so Minnesota being confirmed now to be in rebuild era, we saw this coming. Word has it that Guerin wants to offer a team membership position of "Player Development" to Koivu and it makes sense. Koivu loves the Wild, his teammates, the fans and the city of Minnesota and honestly this wouldn't shock me.

I'm glad they're going back to the 2D logo, I've always preferred it tbh and it would look so good to an updated version. I hope they incorporate some more gold in their new jersey design too.
