It came crashing down, like an untold history. We stood there amidst the fields when the Holy Monolith stopped speaking. The first thing that let me know I was alive was the chill of the air in the back of my nose. A dry sobering feeling. My pistol was warm in my hand, my body ached from unseen combat, and a stalker lay bloody at my feet. I knew not who he was, or why he lunged at me, but when he stood, I made him fall. I looked to my brothers, for what else could those who shared in my fate be other than my siblings?
