Supporters of Liz Truss urged backers of Suella Braverman and Kemi Badenoch to throw their weight behind the Foreign Secretary in her bid to become Tory Party leader.

Therese Coffey, the Work and Pensions Secretary who is a key figure in the Truss campaign, told Sky News: “The reason why I think that supporters of Suella and Kemi should come and join Liz is because a lot of their policies are in a very similar direction, about having a free economy, about making sure we stand up for the United Kingdom and be proud of our country.”

That also involved a “different approach, slightly, on how we tackle economic issues”.

The second round of voting by Tory MPs takes place between 11.30am and 1.30pm, with a result announced at 3pm.

Kemi Badenoch is my choice. Truss is an NPC.

Stressing loyalty to someone whos just been removed due to his basic dishonesty isn't a campaign slogan I would use

This woman is wrong. Wrong on so many levels.

Let's face it there is hardly much to be desired in Liz, however, the only reason why she might win the race is due to the largely unspoken reason, racism which is still simmering below the surface, amongst the right wing white majority of our party membership. The party may not still be ready to elect its first leader from the minorities. Labour is likely to be ahead of us in this.

Liz Truss has the charisma of a damp rag, an awful speaker, says a few words on immigration with no promises or policy plan. Says nothing on Net Zero so she's happy with keeping Green taxes high and spending billions there. She'll spend billions on foreign aid and defence when the country is needing that money in many other areas. But at least she believes in meritocracy and doesn't like Putin...a very "radical candidate"? Don't make me laugh...and her trade deals with Japan and Australia weren't great too. I remember them being slated and that she hadn't done enough.

Sunak is basically the Tony Blair of the Right. Doesn't understand the working class. Says very little on cultural/immigration issues. Completely destroyed our economy for decades. Enough said.

And Penny Mourdant doesn't know what a woman is and therefore would be awful for British culture. Look up Toby Young's comments on her quoting society being too "hetro, male, christian, western"....She's completely woke! We don't want a woke Prime Minister. And now with Frost's comments on her inabilities she honestly sounds like a car crash PM waiting to happen. She puts on a big show for the camera's, but is just as inadequate as Truss was on her trade deals and Sunak on the economy.

Those are the top 3 candidates that the mainstream media seems to like. They aren't really Conservatives. They are Liberals and they are probably the worst choices if you want the Conservative Party to be Conservative and for Britain to actually have a Conservative Prime Minister.
