Came here thinking I needed to add a second router only to find out that what I really need is an access point. Thanks Budget Nerd!

The most informative video with NO ADS nor advertisements. Very straightforward and quick but extremely detailed and simplified. Thank you so much @Budget Nerd! 💪💪

The TP-Link Archer C6 router also offers the feature of setting it up as an Access Point. Thanks for the video!

I have been running a multi router ecosystem at home. Seeing this video was awesome. If you could it would be amazing if you could explain more on the multi router setups in another video!! Thank you for posting this video!!!

Great video!! Very informative.

Topic Suggestion: Is a physical firewall a good investment, or just use a soft firewall like the one built into Windows.

After seeing this, I were going to do this to my homeserver, just because it's easy, and I now rent an apartment. But, strangely enough, my pretty fancy router router that is a couple of years (AC 1750), had only 100 Mbps lan and not 1Gbps. So it was actually faster to keep on using an really old extender (get 144Mbps with that)... Will try to route a cable through the wall, without the owner noticing it when I have to move in 2 years time.. Thanks for the idea though.

I’m trying to understand all this lol I usually do a ton of research but I was on a time limit so we hooked up a second router via Ethernet cable. When I setup the second router it created a separate network name and password. It took 2 minutes and it was done. Everything seems to be working fine. Is this going to cause issues? Slow one or both down? Create interference? I really didn’t expect it to be that easy and work right away with no issues lol

First let me start off I really liked the video a lot even though I know a good amount about networking I have never had to set up a 2 router system. I just had one question I have been able to find a ton of tutorials about LAN - LAN connections but almost nothing about LAN - WAN connections and I really wanted to got that rout I just don't know what configuring if any is needed for the second router? Or would it be the same kind of configuring that the LAN - LAN uses with changing DHCP settings. Thanks again on the great video.

I see the Rock Space AC2100 router in your video, and I'm considering it, what do you think of this router especially in term of range coverage and performance notably of the 5Ghz band? Which is better between this router and the Tenda RX2 Pro AX1800? Thanks

I would like to have wireless access in my camper in the backyard. My home wireless router does not reach it. I have an ethernet cable going from the house to the camper. Would an access point accommodate multiple devices or would a wireless router be better? My wife works remotely in the camper and my child does online learning. Would an access point be able to handle that as well?

Can’t i use a extra router as a access point? I used the router off the isp’s router/Modem. I did this cause they don’t allow me access to their router unless i pay extra. So I setup a whole new one and just use their stuff for the on demand for the TVs

Thanks for the vid but i would like you to make a vid on how to add unify access point(roof mounted) to your network step by step with all the configuration and also how to set it up to remotely access your unify Access point

I really would appreciate a video on LAN-WAN set up; I'm looking for a way to segregate my work network traffic (multiple different VPNs, ftp, etc.) from my home network traffic. Your port forwarding video was very easy to follow, but are there any considerations that need to be made for RDP or port forwarding into a WAN?

I would like to have clear and concise instructions, how to add a second router to an existing network, and do it wirelessly. Adding the router via an ethernet cable requires a very long cable and a reasonably easy path from the first router to the second router. That is not the case where I live.can’t wait to hear your instructions on how to do that.

So I’m wanting to add a second router, now if I do Lan - Wan, I would be gaming off of the second router. Would I still get lag spikes if a lot of people were using the first router? Also my main question I can’t find anywhere, if my second router is a better router than my first router, would I get the full potential out of the second router? Or no since the first main router isn’t as good as the first?

Any advice is appreciated, Thank you!

Is there a difference between access point mode and bridge mode?

or you have an older modem/router and you want to update to a Wifi 6 router. Instead of buying too much equipment, set the modem/ router in bridge mode effectively make it a simple modem, and attach your shining new Wifi 6 router to this modem (your old modem/ router), that would work very nicely, wouldn't it? and you can make them talk to each other either through a cable or wirelessly

I have an old Grace Digital radio that just won't dance with my new router. There hasn't been a firmware update ever -- 10+ years. Even with the old router Pandora stopped working. But it has nice crisp sound. Guess I'll try the WAN route.
