If you extend the boom out and put some weight on it, don't be surprised if that single winch line breaks or the winch overloads. There is a lot of leverage working against the winch, especially with the boom low.
Definitely put a sheave or snatchblock on the boom and double the boom lift cable through it to get a 2:1. Or even multiple sheaves to get 3:1 or 4:1.
You don't need speed for lifting the boom, you need force.. a single line isn't the right way to get that.
And remove some of the winch line from the drum so the winch is working on the first (innermost) layer of line, where it has more pull.

Thanks for sharing your welding failures. That was pretty vulnerable.
So you all know, I delivered (I'm their UPS driver) those shocks Friday at about 4pm. There was no stress coming from anyone. I asked, "When does the mini truck need to be done?" Caleb answered, "Saturday night." I was more worried than they were. I was waiting for the Sunday morning video to see that they got it all together. They have really put in the hours.

You should ditch the winch for the boom and and put in a hyrdaulic cylinder. It will be way stronger and safer.

7:15 - Kudos to you Cayleb for being vulnerable and posting something you’re not proud of versus editing it out. “14 packs of hubba bubba right there” was gold though 😂 Remember, a grinder and paint makes the welder I ain’t 😂

I can't wait to see the mini wrecker in action on the tral. When you get out there, actually write down everything you want to modify to finish the truck and enjoy your new achievement.

As for the chain weld a piece of pipe that is capped on the bottom to the head ache rack. Drop the chain you are not using into the pipe.😊

Hell yes boys. You need something better than winch line to hold a rig on the boom. Something metal or bigger rope.

You guys should use the original mini truck axles to build the mini jeep! That would be a sweet little rig.

You guys might want to consider putting a snatch block on the boom and anchoring the line back to the headache rack. It's going to be a bit slower but you'll have much better lifting power.

The Mini Pecker lives! Still don’t know how you guys aren’t at 1mil + subs. One of my favorite channels. Keep it up!

A length of black pvc pipe with an endcap mounted vertically on the headache rack under each of the new support chain shackles would hold the excess chain without rattling. A ½" hole in the end cap would let water drain.
