The progression method is absolutely the best way to learn this stuff. Nick is the master.

Just brilliant! Gonna watch a few times before I do what you say. I’ve already hit now over 120mph flat serves! I never believed I could until I learned from you 🥇🙏🎾🏆

Thanks for the breakdown. Another excellent explanation of one of the most complex movements in tennis

hey Coach, the style of this video elevated you to another level of instructor. I had made comments in previous videos about you just talking forever and never showing what you were doing the comment Mentary while doing makes your videos worth watching now I am a subscriber.

Wow, I’ve actually been doing these same progressions thanks to Karue’s channel. But I really appreciate all the extra details and insights you provide on it.

Great video as always Nick and under 10 minutes as well which allows me to sneak it in between work! I will try these progressions and I look forward to the your tennis racquet reveal video as you noted on the Tennis Nerd Podcast, I will take a guess its a Tecni Fibre Racquet but I'm probably wrong.

Love this ❤️ I’m very solid and comfortable hitting flat overheads with direction, but I get a lot of accidental slice almost always on the serve, because I treat them completely differently in my mind and get bogged down on wrist positions (deathly afraid of being told I have a waiters serve 😂) racquet drop depth etc, and lose fluidity and the most important factor which is contact. I can’t wait to try this and try to stop micromanaging all of the complex moving parts. The serve mechanics are by far the hardest part of tennis for me personally so maybe I just need to stop overthinking it. It’s so frustrating to have a pretty complete game, yet spin in serves that often start the point neutral instead of putting them in a defensive position right of the bat.

Nice video needed help on flat serve. Can you do a video on doubles tennis rotation? Always getting confused when to rotate

Nick, it’d be interesting to hear your analysis of Dimitrov’s serve. It has been quite similar to Karlović’s motion and resembles Kyrgios’s too but Grigor takes the racquet even further behind his body. I noticed now during the French Open that it has changed slightly. He brings the racquet behind his body but has this swaying kind of motion when he starts bringing the racquet up. I have not seen him do this before. He also appears to serve harder.

Love this channel! Question: How similar is the flat serve to the overhead, and what are the key differences? I keep seeing different approaches to serving, and you’re the first person I’ve seen compare it to an overhead

Great video!!! Quick question: are old balls ok for service training?

Flat serve to the body, in the doubles match...fail proof sure free points.
Returns are either long or easy loopy balls right to my teammate at the net.

Great video. The sound is a bit quiet though (at least on my laptop)

When people call it flat serve, I am not sure if that's right, because there has to be some topspin to bring the ball down into the service box unless you are so tall that you can strike the ball down without any spin at all.
