Very impressive ball control, there, Mick! I like the extra mechanism to help stuck balls. Some folks have actually used real wet water in Meccano models, you know (bubble blowing machines, paddle steamer, I think have been done) but never one of these. There's a challenge now!

With all that ingenuity, it seems a shame to remove the ball mechanisms and simplify the mechanics with a motor. The next mark will be a completely different machine with none of the former complexity which, IMHO, will hide the man hours and sweat put into this ball mechanism. DON'T DO IT! Of course, if you were going to dismantle it anyway, at least you have the video. Thanks for a wonderful demonstration of Meccano engineering at its best.
