from what i understand and read, Nintendo Systems is just the name of a subsidiary created by Nintendo and mobile developer DeNa, and it will likely focus on making iOS and android games and apps that use Nintendo IP. I think the logic behind the name is that the new company will deliver games that can run on any mobile system.

After having a few conversations with Japanese eBay sellers, system isn't a great transition for what we would call the console. It's "body" is what they use generally. System is probably referring to operating system or service.

My best guess is that this will be Nintendo getting into cloud gaming with a cross platform service for PC, Console, and Mobile that would allow you to pick up and play your Nintendo games across all supported Nintendo systems.

Had an idea for the switch but it may be too complicated. You still have the portable device which docks. But what if the dock wasn't just a converter. What if the dock housed a ton of processing power. When docking, everything upscaled to current gen console levels.

I have a feeling that this is going to like what Microsoft is doing doing with Xbox. So backward compatibility with potential enhancements based on hardware played on as well as improved emulation for the legacy games available through Nintendo Online+Expansion Pack, forward compatibility through the cloud, and something like Smart Delivery for games that absolutely would work as cross-gen titles.

I’d also guess that they’re build an achievement system that’s more like Steam, PS, and Xbox, since now their achievements are largely non-existent. Also, since they had Labo and one of their recent patents was for a new headset, I wouldn’t be surprised if they brought more meaningful implementation of VR and AR into the mix.

Nintendo pushes the envelope pretty hard sometimes. Wii was a huge leap forward by having the motion sensor games. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there is a whole VR movement inside of Nintendo. Likely that is something that can be docked or mobile as they have done with the switch. Graphics will be revamped surely, but I think they'll be in the lead once again with their cutting edge innovation.

I for one am extremely excited for the DENA Nintendo collaboration. I just would love if they collabed with SwitchForce and created a switchforce Nintendo switch console

Hey Zacky Poo, Nintendo has been working with DeNA for years and plum years now. In fact, if you remember way back in the Wii to WiiU era, those folks helped Nintendo “revamp” their online stuff, as well as getting Nintendo games on mobile phones. Now that doesn’t mean this announcement sucks, not at all. DeNA is a talented company that, if Nintendo would let those folks go wild and develop an all new online platform for the Switch 2, we could see some huge improvements, indeed my good sir!
