A Roasting Summary of Season 1 - The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power

For those who forgot what happened in Rings of Power Season 1, I summarised the most important parts with a big portion of sarcasm. Esp. Episode 8 (though actually a well made episode) hurt my little Tolkien lore fan heart quite a bit (also episode 5). As a result I had to roast the first season a bit. I hope some people might find it funny or helpful and season 2 looks already better after seeing a bit of it already (first 3 episodes just came out).

I really appreciate the text at the end reminding people not to take out their dislike of the writing/direction on the actors.
I wanted to love this show. I didn't absolutely hate it, but after it aired i felt no desire to rewatch any episodes which was a huge surprise. I even tried rewatching it a few months ago and ended up getting distracted by my phone. Here's to hoping season 2 is better!

Season 2 is such an abomination I am speechless, i have no words. I think my cat would make a better adaptation.

I watched 3 episodes of season 2 last night and it wasn't that bad. First 2 episodes were good (obviously it's all fan fiction) third was a bit confusing, but I was very sleepy so who knows. I will rewatch it today. The only thing I didn't like they brought back the fat girl hobbit, and she is annoying. Galadriel behaves quite a bit better, less insane. And the cultists were confusing.

It's as simple as; If you like the show you don't like Tolkien's writing, because one is perfectly opposed to the other. There is literally no overlap. The show is 100% garbage.
