When i didnt want the food we had at home and i told my mom i didnt wanna eat, she always said ok. The only problem was that i actually didnt eat the snack, then i didnt eat dinner and in the morning I wouldn't eat breakfast just because i didnt wanna eat, or i forgot to, so my mom would then force me to eat

Ice cream is still a snack for one. A quick google search would just tell you that.

Anyway, I can understand if you didn't have ice cream bar's. But let's not force the child to eat anything. Unless it genuinely becomes a problem, we should start letting kids pick and choose the foods they want. I ask what my baby cousin wants before making anything. And if I want something else, I'd make myself something that is separate from the food he chose. If you are poor or can't make other dinners for yourself, then ask the child what they want for tomorrow's dinner and then make it tomorrow. You can also find other ways to make them eat the food. I usually eat what's off of their plate and that makes them want to eat it. There is so much more ways to make your child eat something without starving. You guys just choose the lazy route
