I bought and own “21”R/S, I had the “exclusive” model which has everything on it (not heated seat) and I had full bmw luggage the price was £15.5k. I’ve just put some Metzeller M9’s on it and that has really livened up the handling 😊 at 59 years old and riding mostly sports bikes for the last 40 years I am still over the moon with it 😊👍🏻👍🏻

I have the R1250R 2022 and I must admit it's technically the best bike I've ever ridden/owned. It's very comfortable, can be very laid back but also pretty sporty when needed. The torque is the highlight of the bike. Still not quite fond of the looks, bikes before this were the Z900RS and Triumph Bobber but purely from a riding-standpoint and what it offers, it's fantastic.

I brought a 1250R in '22 thinking they're the "underrated hidden gem" of the BMW line. Now I've got one I realise they're everywhere, you just never take a second look. Great bike though, lot of character and a surprising amount of boogie. Heavy as all hell though.

I have to give you credit, your one of the few reviewers that called out the shifter issue between first and second. Too many reviewers just avoided that subject, thank you for giving us the real review not a sales pitch. Cheers Mate.

Most underrated bike out there. Most GS riders would be well served on an r12r/s and have lower center of gravity. I have a ‘15 r1200r decated and tuned and it is pure joy. I love these bikes! If you could only have one bike/engine it would have to be a BMW boxer.

I love the RS. I'm going to buy one in the spring.

I have a 2020 RS and it's excellent. The engine is superb. It'll loaf along if you want, or scream if you give it the beans. One thing you missed is that the 2023 RS now has an option to have the tubular bars from the R to give you the same rider position.

Great video giving overall specs on the bikes.

If you want a sports bike then these bikes are not what you want to go for.

I’ve owned an R1200R and now a R1250R and to be honest this is a bike for everything you will ever need (except off road and track). Commute, Tour Europe and Sunday blast ☑️ ☑️ ☑️

For some reason this has been one of the best overlooked bikes for a while now and for people who don’t want a sports bike, who want something that is fast and fun yet sensible and comfortable I don’t think there is another bike in production today that can beat it.

Plus you have to remember even at 4000 rpm in any gear on this bike you will be breaking the law.

More speed / torque is simply not needed unless your off to the track or the autobahn.

As for the look of the bike, well every bike looks one way or another and beauty is in the eye of the beholder 😁.

I love the R1250R, but the 2023 updates won’t be enough to get me to chop in my 2019 version.

All the best and thanks for so many good reviews.

The R 1250 R is certainly ine of the most underrated bike (outside Germany, where they sell plenty).
Yeah it’s not the most powerfull naked, yes it’s expensive. But just try one if you are a big naked bike rider and you will most likely end up buying one.
The torque, the smoothness, the comfort, the precision it’s just an excellent package.

Have owned two RS and two R. 3 RT & 5GS. Lots of other makes. Loved them all but my favourite is the 1250 R. Not the best looking but my absolute favourite

I ran with the Guzzi V100 Mandello. It was a close choice... Hopefully the right one. They are both great Motos!

I Tried the RS and the R and chose the R as it was far more fun, it is interesting that you were less enthusiastic about the R then a few other bikes I've seen you review which I looked at like the Speed Twin, Z900 RS and the new HD Sportsters. The BMW R1250R would run rings around them as a motorcycle yet gets a lukewarm review

I know it's an older BMW that isn't made anymore, but I'd love to see a comparison of a 2015-2016 BMW K1300S vs a 2020+ BMW R1250RS. They're both a couple of my favorite sport touring bikes. That would be a wild comparison review! Just my opinion

RS, BMW should of showed luggage package. As a sport tourer, would of liked to see & hear your thoughts on FULL package. Thanks, always a pleasure, quality work

I have had a number of bikes. The R1250R will be hanging around for the long term. Great all around bike.

Love my ‘21 R1250R. Engine is perfect for the road in my opinion. I’ve got the base model as wasn’t interested in quick shifter or active suspension. Not sure it’s worth upgrading but I do like the new grey colour 👍

Ordered my new R1250R to replace the 2020 that was taken away by a VW Van that decided to take me and the bike out while traversing a roundabout. 😉

Should arrive June 🤙

Love this bike.
I Am now 66 and still getting my kicks 💯🏍️🇨🇦

I wanted a sports tourer and fancied an RS. But in the end got a Hayabusa for the same price. Heart over mind!

I think the BMW pricing options are a good idea. When I bought my S1000R I chose the Sport model then added a couple of M parts as it worked out better value, as I didn't like the M colour, or need all the M parts...
