Have you been laid off from your H-1B job, or are you worried that you could be laid off?

The self sponsor H-1B is a strategy where you can start a company and sponsor your own H-1B.

The self sponsor H-1B became a viable strategy in 2020 when USCIS changed its rules to allow entrepreneurial H-1B workers to hire themselves for their own business.

The self sponsor H-1B company must meet certain requirements:
1. You must have an employer-employee relationship with the new company
2. Your job must qualify as a speciality occupation that's related to the field you studied in university
3. You need a certified Labor Condition Application from the Department of Labor
4. You must pay yourself the prevailing wage on a regular payroll schedule
