I think brokenstar could be considered broken.

He was abused by Lizardstripe verbally and emotionally, and deprived of milk to remind him of how Lizardstripe didnt want him. He was also ruthlessly made fun of by his adopted siblings and never included in their games.

So for those who are confused, this is why these characters are either broken or pure evil:
Tigerstar *Broken*: His father left him to become a kittypet, his sisters died, his mother died, Thistleclaw trained him harder than usual.
Brokenstar *Pure Evil*: i wouldnt say Brokenstar was pure evil. I know that he was born angry, but his sisters died, his foster mother abused him, and his foster mother spread rumors about him. I would say Brokenstar was broken (just like his tail)
Darktail *broken*: His father was a clan cat and his mother was a kittypet. Darktail's mother grew up teaching him to hate the clans. Onestar didnt want his son, Darktail, to join the clan, worried that Smoke, Darktail's mother, and Darktail himself would get hurt. Smoke then vowed to teach Darktail to hate the clans.
Mapleshade *broken*: Mapleshade's mate, Appledusk, cheated on her with Reedshine, she was kicked out of Thunderclan, her kits, Patchkit, Petalkit, and Larchkit, drowned, Riverclan didnt let her stay in the clan, and Appledusk blamed Mapleshade for the kit's death.
Thistleclaw *pure evil*: Thistleclaw had no reason to be evil. He had a family that loved him, and nobody really hated him. He had no reason to be evil.
Scourge *broken*: His brother, Socks, and his sister, Ruby, bullied him for being small. He felt unwanted, and Tigerpaw (yes, the evil Tigerstar) almost killed him. He had to lie to get food. He was for sure broken.
One Eye *pure evil*: I said I would edit this after reading DoTC and I have read it! So One Eye is definitely pure evil, as other people would see it, but I see him as broken. One Eye once told Clear Sky that he was bullied as a kit, so that may explain him being evil. But he had a mate and a daughter, a whole family, and he still wasn't happy. So I would say 1% broken, 99% pure evil
Hawkfrost *both*: his father was a murderer, and his father forced him to follow in his pawsteps. He had to leave his mother, and his brother, Tadpole, died.

Hi just wanna make a comment here sense there is a lot of confusion. The One Eye in the video is not the one from TPB. He is from DOTC and he terrorizes SkyClan and uses his daughter Star Flower to get to Thunder then Clear Sky, first leader of SkyClan and ThunderClan. Brokenstar is a mixture of pure evil and broken. Although it was his destiny to become a villain, he was given up by his mother, abused by his foster mother and foster siblings, which led him down to the path of evil, and was also abused by his own Clanmates.

Accurate assessment of Hawkfrost. Reading Tigerstar and Sasha, you can tell that Hawkfrost was wrecked by Tadpole’s death, but his ambitions screwed him up to the point of evil. (I also believe that Tigerstar and Brokenstar fall under both)

Did anobody know that Scourge is Firehearts half-brother?
Like, Fireheart and and Scourge share the same father-Jack/Jake (A bright red he-cat. Kittypet). They are half-brothers because Scourges' mother is Quince (A grey she-cat. Kitypet) and Fireheart's mother is Nutmeg (A light brown she-cat with darker spots and with white paws. Kittypet).

Actually I think all the villains are broken in some way, and that’s why they became villains. Maybe some of them have a reason that just wasn’t mentioned in the books.

I feel like scourge is doing both.. He could’ve just stopped at getting revenge with Tigerstar, but he never stopped until he was dead.

The problem with calling a villain broken is that it excuses/justifies their actions- when theirs characters who went trough the same or worse and DIDNT try to kill everyone they don’t like.
