It is systemic there. Socially there's more mixing but economically and every other way it is very racist.

The same people (Portuguese) that were a major part of the slave trade, colonized Brazil.

Thank you for letting us know about the evil of hate and racism in Brazil.

Just came back from Brazil from USA. You are 100% accurate. Racial profile at Airport checkpoint is not uncommon. Most black men work as doormen or security. You rarely see black people driving cars. Downtown São Paulo still have memorial church where black were buried in mass grave. The fight for black freedom is real; don’t sugar coat it….. period!

Wow such an eye opener. Especially since they have the largest population of blacks outside of Africa!

I am a Brazilian with brown skin from a middle-upper-class background. I live in Brasília, a wealthy city in this country, but one that is also extremely racist. In this town, people are highly divided by race and social class. As a teenager, I attended a school for wealthy kids, but my classmates assumed I was on a scholarship and that my parents were poor. I have visited the USA many times and experienced some racism there; however, I also felt that people had a stronger sense of community. I am glad that I found this video because I felt the same way as this guy. In the USA, you see black people thriving, whereas in Brazil, I don't see them doing as well.

That's horrible! I'm heartbroken for all of our brothers and sisters who are living through all this unjustified hatred against us.
