I think DeSantis would have a harder time than this, especially if Trump supporters don't fall back on him if Trump doesn't get the nomination and keeps attacking DeSantis

If Republicans put up Desantis in 2024 I honestly think it will be hard for him to win simply because a significant chunk of Trump's base will refuse to vote for anyone else

this would be a good scenario but donald trump would not accept losing the nomination and would simply tell his supporters to stay home and not vote which would end the chances of DeSantis

I could see Florida being called for DeSantis right at 8 pm poll closing time.

DeSantis is not just winning Texas by 4.9%. He would at least win the state by 7. The rural voters in TX are different than those of PA and WI. Rural republicans in TX aren’t low propensity and are gonna come out to vote for whoever the nominee is plus DeSantis doing better than Trump in the suburbs. Denton county isn’t flipping blue in 2024 and Fort Worth would flip back red.

I absolutely do not see DeSantis winning Wisconsin. I just don’t see that, especially given what just happened in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race.

It doesn't feel right that North Carolina is lumped in with Iowa, Ohio, Florida, and Texas as clearly leaning toward DeSantis. I'd put it as a tossup.

If DeSantis came this close in 2024 and with him being a young man and still would be governor of Florida until January 5th 2027. I could see him winning the Presidency in 2028
