Removing INVASIVE Snakehead Fish in My BACKYARD POND!!

In today's video, I revisit an old pond project and catch out invasive snakehead fish!!

The Snakehead fish (Channa) are excellent community fish to have with Peacock bass (Pavon), Florida Largemouth, Tilapia, Bluegill, Ocars, Mayan Cichlids, Vlown Knifefish, Plecos and Walking Catfish. It is true if the waterbody dries out often or remains oxygen deficient all you will have is Snakehead fish and Walking Catfish although Clown Knifefish will survive if the water is deficient. How ever in a well oxygenated environment the Florida Largemouth bass, Peacock bass, Bluegills, Oscars Mayans and Native catfish will retain healthy populations in the presence of Snakehead fish and may even suppress the Snakehead fish as what has happen in Japan and southeast Asia.

You should put long nose gar in it like 4-5 of them and I cant decide on arawanna or some kind of catfish. Personally I'd have Redtail Cats or a big ass alligator snapping turtle. Two reasons for the snapping turtle are
1. Cause I'm not a people person and I find it funny when people get spooked by something they weren't paying attention to.
2. Keep them snakeheads at bay

Since snakeheads are illegal to keep as pets in Florida, whoever put them in pond X either didn’t know that what they were doing was illegal, or they did know and just didn’t care. It wouldn’t surprise me if the 2 snakeheads you caught out of the pond ate/killed the other fish you put in there.
