I just hate that the 1 series doesn't come with a temp gauge as standard as I always care getting on temperature before going on the higher rpms, just so annoying

Tip: attach your key ring to the side of the fob that is the larger piece, not to the detachable door key. I lost my key fob once because the key detached by accident.

My 130i M sport is a Japanese import. When the dealer I bought it from imported it, they put new dash dials on it, converting it from KPH to MPH. In the process, they've put on a dial cluster with an engine temp gauge, and connected it up! (Either that, or Japanese spec cars simply had the temp gauge as standard). So I've got a 130i with a temp gauge! My old 130i SE (UK spec) had no gauge, and it frustrated the heck out of me, esp with the N52's known appetite for water pumps. Really glad to have the gauge

I love these tips. I just got a ’21 118d and it took me an hour to learn how to lock the doors. I have a automatic and learned that I have to press the P on the shifter, along with the P for parking brake. Now I have to learn how to keep the radio turned off after restarting the car.

You can do the coolant bleed on non electric water pump engines too. Just need to leave engine running for a bit of temp at 28 degrees and screw loose. Did it on my 320i in 10 mins

Nice info, but just fyi, the window and sunroof opening by key was available already on 80s/90s bmw’s with central locking. I could do that on my e34

The window feature and removable key is ob any car with a remote key tbh. And the passenger mirror dropping is a merc feature, plus a major pain in the ass.
I find it tilts to much so you can't even see the kerb lol

the reversing mirror in BMW is just amazing only turn them on when I need to park close to a curb on a busy road, unluckily my car doesnt have folding mirrors

One huge problem they didn't think about is how the batteries in the boot but you can't unlock the boot if the batteries dead so it makes getting it started after the batteries gone very difficult

My 2011 120d msport coupe was the bmw show car So it’s got everything
Even the fin on the roof and Bluetooth all the hidden stuff had it 5 years done all my own work and it’s been brilliant looking to buy a new car now. Bmw 420d grand coupe xdrive and found out my 120d still worth £6000
Did look and see other ones are £2000 but coz the toys it’s wanted
