Great Glue Gun Part Two

Показать описание
Ben continues his work to create the ultimate in hot-glueing technology. He takes the concepts he developed in the previous episode to build a drip-free, easy to control hot glue gun. He creates a trigger with Hall effect sensors, builds the extruder mechanism, then reduces the size of the electronics to fit on the gun before showing the project in action.

Stay tuned each Sunday for all new episodes!

Seriously this could be an item for a kickstarter :) I'd buy one

Nice idea, and well preformed. But many hobbyists, dont have access to a 3D printer. You use yours in almost every project. I know you love yours. I challenge you to make a project without the 3d-printer. Do a project where you use more accessable tools.

Where are the episodes on Revision3? I can't find this show in the app :(

Considering the pathetic state of development of current glue guns, this would be a winner for crafters if it went into production!

The fact that glue was waisted to make this video gave my an idea:
make a glue recycler, by combining a shredder and a filastruder.

Once again a cool project. Only thing which would make it even better is a swicth that controls the amount of glue that‘s being extruded. So instead of the trigger to control the amount, a switch with several options and the trigger is just for starting the extruding. Keep up the good work.

I love this channel... even the skits.

OK, especially the skits.

Great build, I was thinking several months ago about a better glue gun . And Ben comes up with one, how great is that

one of your best projects yet,  it would be great to see you tackle this again, changing the few things you saw post finish, and how about an adjustable stop block on the trigger so you don't need to keep your finger constant and risk messing up. and of course putting a nice clean case around it.

sooo... how about a self-reloading, adjustable "tip-length", glue-gun?

Maybe a revolver or belt "magazine", with multiple tips, (different length with simple connections to be changed at need), maybe with a longer "warm part" so that you can use higher speeds, (for when you need to use hot glue to fill a volume rather than just gluing).

BTW, I thought there was conductive hot-glue? Maybe make your own? OH! how about a "make-your own hot-glue episode", where you can make a "conductive" glue, chocolate 'glue', heat-transferring glue (for CPUs that's absolutely non-conductive), and other fun things :-O

in the beginning of the video, your american-style face mimics and speech we usually see on tv shows/commercials are pretty funny :))) nice project buddy!

You really need to make a phaser style body for this one Ben. Well Done guys!

Great idea but I got a bigger challenge for Ben. Take one of those great idea and see if you could refine the concept, organize production and distribution all the way to market. That would be a very interesting show to follow on youtube.

Hey Ben. You are awesome! I've been looking for a good pair of bluetooth noise canceling gaming headphones and haven't been able to find any that suit my needs and my budget. Can you make a video showing us how to mod a pair of howard leight impact sport electronic ear muffs into a good noise cancelation bluetooth gaming headset with mic? Adding a rechargable battery pack to replace the battery would be great. Please consider this. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people will enjoy such an episode. If anyone else is interested in this mod, please make mention of it so that Ben will be more likely to make it happen! Thanks for everything you do for us Ben!

It is really cool how easy you can make things yourself today!

You could have mounted the spring inside the lever to make it more compact!

Nice!
But it should have a normal on/off switch on the triger and a pot on top for you to set the speed!!!

isn't a trigger a mechanical moving part?
