UNLOCK Hidden Strength In Your Push Ups With 1 Tip

In this video I want to share a tip I've mentioned previously but never really put in the limelight. This tip allows you to unlock hidden strength in your push ups instantly by applying spiral tension throughout the arm. When you do this, you'll notice more strength in your pushing; more stability throughout the arms, shoulder girdle and upper back; and you'll have more power for explosive movements. It's a trick I've learned through the years by experimenting, but after reading Pavel's book The Naked Warrior, he really drove the concept home in a chapter about tension. So here's a video dedicated to this amazing tip. I hope it helps you on your journey to better push ups and the one-arm push up as well.

I'm 79 years old, and you have helped me!! After one month I can do 10 pushups. I Can't do one pull up yet, but I'm feeling so much better, and have lots more energy. Thank you for the encouraging videos.

I started doing my pushups exactly like this. it's kind of related with the psuedo planche pushups. Really benefical and an upgrade from the regular pushup

Very cool tip.

I am doing 100 pullups and 200 pushups(both on the same day) on alternate days.I will put this information into use after I get to my goal of 21 pullup and 100 pushup in a set.

I am at 16 pullup and 70 pushup atm.

This is why I enjoy push ups on the rings so much. You can turn them out at the top and really feel this well.

I’ll give it a try. I started doing push-ups last March. Haven’t quit yet.

Very interesting.... this is what we have to do in boxing to exert more power in a short distance... never occurred to me to do it in pushups but it makes so much sense! I will switch to this and see if my punch will also improve!! Thanks

This is nice. I do it when I practice archer push ups and noticed that it helps stabilizing my shoulders.

I just tried this in my chair and noticed the pecks tension and my core compacted. Can't wait to try this. Great break down and modification.

Thank you! I've heard this cue before, but had forgotten. Have been dealing with a deltoid strain since September that limited my pushups. Did this and immediately doubled my reps!
It's amazing how long you can keep doing the same thing and hoping for different results 🤷‍♂️. Just shows you can always learn.

Pretty amazing. I gave it a go a short while after lunch. The reason was I could not wait for a more suitable time. As I said, it was quite amazing. It is a whole new way to do pushups. Thank you.

Is that why the Perfect Push-ups device is perfect? I’m referring to the dish size spinning things sold in the 90’s. Each had a handle and as you pressed upwards, the handles naturally rotated for a more comfortable feeling. The bearings (if they had any) felt cheap but I could definitely feel that the rotation felt solid on the shoulder joints. I was very young then so I hand zero shoulder problems. But, being 52 now, I may try it on my rings. Thanks for the reminder!!
