Played the original. And no, the black phantom does not automatically aggro when you get kicked down by patches. You must have haplessly and unwittingly approached the black phantom on your own without realizing it.

I rescued him and he's in the nexus but he keeps saying may the heavens... something and that's it, do you have to be at certain faith level so he can sell you miracles??

Where the hell do you go after saving him? I got back out the pit. Hit the switch to open cave entrance with the dead rays. But where do I go now? Running around in circles, cannot escape this place. Help

Great guide!! Just one question; After unlocking all the Archstones, if I go to 4-1 and make a dash straight to this guy, will he be there? I read somewhere that you have to do something in other worlds to get him to spawn at the location shown in this video. Not sure if this is true.
