It doesn’t surprise me if there are tons more cases than what’s been reported. In the late 80s my grandfather found a mutilated calf in the pasture behind his house and went and grabbed my dad to show him because it was so strange. The calf had been cut open, was missing all of its major organs, and its legs were broken. There was no blood around the calf either, which definitely ruled out a coyote attack as if the other factors didnt already. Another strange thing about it was that the calf wasn’t one from my grandfathers herd. All his calves were accounted for and there’s not any property nearby that has cattle so it’s not like one could’ve crossed the fence line from a neighboring property.

In any case my dad asked my grandfather if he called the police and my grandfathers response was “what the hell are they gonna do about it?” I can imagine a lot of other farmers doing the same.

The first time I ever heard the story I was in high school and thought it was fascinating. It really freaked my dad out though so he hardly ever talked about it. Interesting video, I had no idea stuff like that was still happening.

This supposedly happened on Skinwalker Ranch as well

Im gonna side with the farmers, most of them spend most of their lives or careers dealing with an endless stream of cattle...the would see natural death all the time, and come to recognize it. If they insist it's something irregular and unnatural, I don't see any reason to discredit them

Saying it's natural causes and just decomposition is a bit too dismissive. Farmers see decomposition and dead livestock all the time. They know what that's supposed to look like.

"There obviously isn't a centralized cattle report archive."

I mean why not? We have a wikia dedicated to anime bathing scenes. The sky is the limit!

Everyone saying it's a prank like breaking bones and removing organs is something easy to do, especially with bovines.

I have a story to share.

There was a place called Hercules Glade in Missouri, and my dad and I went there to hike. There was a sign that said "No Trespassing, " and we hadn't realized we had the wrong entrance to the trail, so we decided to cut through the no trespassing area to save time. We saw what looked like farm equipment laying out in the field, and being a curious 11-year-old, I ran to check it out -- what we found was a full-grown cow completely skeletonized with both of it's hind legs broken; well, it would've been a skeleton, if it weren't for the fact that it's head was completely untouched. It was fully intact, with eyes, tongue, everything, and this was the middle of summer in the Ozarks, so the fact that there were no bugs whatsoever? That was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. That was nearly a decade ago and I can still see it fresh in my mind. I have no idea how that could have happened. The rest of the skeleton was sun-bleached.

We didn't stay to hike. Was creepy as hell.

I remember as a kid being weirdly obsessed with this phenomenon and scouring books for info on this - completely forgot it exists until you posted this

My father, long time cattleman in the southwest, had it happen to one older cow. No, the blood did not settle. It was not pressent. Cuts were straight. Udder, tongue, and some internal organs missing. No flies. Mid spring. Cow had been seen alive and well 15 hrs prior to discovery. No footprints tracks or dragmarks. Black helicopter sited over the property after the report Local sheriff took a couple days to investigate the acene, by which time coyotes and insects had mangled the animal. Dad was more weirded out by the helicopter than by the other details, i think.

I always stick around for "Zimbledorf the Calzone Consumer".

This reminds me a lot of the horse mutilation spike that occurred in France last year. It definitely seems like this whole animal mutilation thing won’t be going away anytime soon :/

There have also been a few cases of human victims found in similar conditions- genitals and ears removed, surgical stripping of the skull tissue and organs removed through clean holes in the torso with zero blood found. Like the guy found near a reservoir in Brazil in 1988. Whatever or whomever is responsible, it's scary stuff.

It gets even more disturbing when you begin to look into cases involving Human victims.
