I am a statistician in Market Research and I am struggling to understand in what universe that this is a peceptual map? Typically perceptual mapping involves a multivariate data reductio model that takes the type of data illustrated above and reduces it dimensionally into a model that can explain cumulative variance. This technique produes x, y coordinates by taking the values from the first and second dimension and is mapped into something like above. In no world do people simply take the raw data and map the scores into a visualization like this. He also arbitrarily selected the value of the axis. You are supposed to take an average of x and an average of to know where the origin is for x, y and make the chart around that origin. why would 6 be the middle? The entire chart is completely arbitrary and does not show what it is claiing to show. This is why you dont outsource your data processing.
