"Shut up Vince!" "YOU'RE OUTTA LINE!!"
"Thank you for joining us." "Shut up!"
Just a little taste of what would become one of THE largest rivalries in wrestling history, Austin vs McMahon. 😁

Stone cold spitting facts. Vince learned one thing and that's Austin does what he wants when he wants. Cause thats the bottom line.

Austin was a babyface with attitude by the spring of 1997. To be fair he was also pretty much a tweener from late 96 up to the double turn with Bret at Wrestlemania 13. He started getting more and more face pops after King of the Ring 96, but I think it was deemed more logical to keep him as a heel after the 3:16 promo. It was basically the increasing positive crowd reaction to Austin’s character, that kind of forced Vince and creative’s hand by early 1997 to begin a full blown face turn.
