For those wondering why we didn’t kill the wasp, she is a queen and of course very important for the ecosystem 🙏🏼

Edit #2 - Guys, I live in Europe. This queen wasp is not invasive (yes it IS a queen).

In fact, it is protected by law in parts of Europe. For example you can get a 50 000 euro fine for killing one in Germany.

As some have mentioned, the queen was probably looking for food and not her babies, which they do when they are young. However, I don't believe she is young as we have a lot of wasps around, and queens don't generally leave their established hive to hunt. I am under the impression that she was looking for her offspring which frequently visit (and get caught) in these venus flytraps, and perhaps had left some of their pheromones behind causing her to follow their trails in hopes of finding where they might have gone.

I get it, you guys hate wasps, but I love the environment more than I want to film a silly little video on the internet...

If you enjoyed the video please leaf a like and subscribe for more 😊

Some of you who may have noticed, yes this was uploaded earlier this morning but we had an export error. I have fixed it in this version, and I hope it is better for you ❤

With respect... Im a zoologist who's main study is wasps. And a large portion of what you said was blatantly wrong.
1: if shes a young queen, she hasnt laid her eggs yet. Queen wasps dont leave their nests once they lay eggs and are only mobile in the early spring after waking up from hibernation
2: the wasp?? Doesnt think the flies are her Wasps are animals that rely almost entirely on pheromones to see the world. They can recognize when a wasp of the same species is from a different colony and will kill them if they land on a different nest. No wasp is going to mistake a dead fly for their offspring.
Im very greatful that you guys saved her, but im so so confused with the information youre presenting to people. It genuinely sounds like chatGPT generated nonsense.

Fun fact!:

Him taking care of her instead of finding her nest and dropping here there is saving her! If a bee or wask comes back to the hive drunk they will either be cast out forever or the gaurd bee things will rip their legs out wings out eyes out and stingers out
