Love your channel, brother. You are so damn chill and straightforward. Always appreciate your videos, but most of all, your honesty. Give my best to your Pops, and I'm glad to hear he is doing better. I was blessed to work with my Pop for 40yrs. Best time of my life. Work never felt like work when he was around. He is 85, and wants to just fish and listen to his vintage stereo now. We built custom cabinets in a small shop in his backyard. I have my son and grandson working with me now, so I am still blessed.

Keep doing you, and always look forward to your videos. I bought my stereo in the late 70s in high-school, and still love music.

Cool beans! I'm glad that worked out so well for you, Kevin. I'm glad your Dad is doing well now too.

A neighbor of mine had a Phase Linear 700 that was blowing fuses. He asked me to take a look at it. I discovered that there was a short in the output section. Once I took the power transistors off the heat sink, I saw a machining burr from manufacturing had pierced the mica insulator, shorting the transistor case to the heat sink. Deburred the heat sink, installed a new insulator, and he was good to go.

I had a pair of Infinity SM82s back in the 90s, one started sounding terrible. I pulled the woofer and the soldered connection at the lug for the braided copper lead to the voice coil was working loose. Touched them all up with some solder and they were good. I wish I still had them, dunno why I sold 'em, but I did.

I had a normal floor standing speaker sound really bad, and when I took the grille off, the woofer surround was gone! A mouse was living in it and chewed up the foam lol WTH! LOL

I had a similar issue with a speaker. I noticed that the tweeter stopped working. I didn't check anything out. I ordered a new tweeter. I have never had issues with crossovers, so I removed the tweeter plate and discovered that one of the connectors broke. Fixed the spade type connector and da da! 🙄

I had a 1960's Altec Horn Speaker that got crushed in a moving incident 40 years ago. While clearing out my garage a neighbor asked what i was going to do with it. When i told him he could have it I had no idea it had such a bright future in magnet fishing😂

I had a fridge making terrible clicky noises, like the motor was about to die. I just replaced the whole fridge just for aesthetics. It turns out the fan was clogged with dust and dog hair.
