Just a little look into welding. What you can do with a generator, transformer, inverter, or rectifier machine. Loads of good clip's with good arc shots, and tips, and tricks to help with your welding projects.

Showing stick, (SMAW) TIG (GTAW) ,and carbon arc (CAW)

Using only (CC) machines, so no MIG or FCAW.

Great video I totally agree with your sentiment. I've welded everything from sheet-metal to 6" thick plate. And for me stick is King.

Make no mistake, you are just as good as the best of them. I have a Miller Big 20 & a Lincoln Sa 200 from watching your videos.

I have never seen that walk the cup method before. Most of my tig has been small parts, mostly antique firearms where that's not needed, but that is a very cool way to do it on larger work.

when welding pipe give yourself a loose 3/32 gap and a beefy 3/32 land and u weave it up the pipe in a u shape from side to side with a tiny little whip action up and down around 80-90 amps using 1/8 6010 this is how i do it and have passed many x rays. well rig welding in alberta i have had 4 repaires in 11 years so try this method my good man i think you will like this way. thanks for the exelent video lots of good content always like your videos and i am subbed thanks.

Awesome! Stick welding is choice, and I like every thing you have to offer as tips on running that SA 200. I got one that I'm learning on, and do appreciate your recommendations. There's a lot to learn on just this one video alone. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I learned how to weld using a powerarc stick welder. I still burn an electrode now and then just for the fun of it.

Lots of good welding tips, I especially like the "real life" repairs you did. I had seen a video where the guy used a plastic bottle with the bottom cut out and fitted it over the contact lug power connector for a little more electrical safety, should it touch something it shouldn't.

Nice work! I need to get me a welder, I was fairly decent at it back in shop class. But I have no idea what kind I should get. Thanks for the video!

I recently purchased a Miller Trailblazer 325 EFI with excel power. Amazing machine but I have to say, I like the growl of the old grey machines better. Yours must be a diesel. Great instruction too. Very informative. I just subscribed.

Stick is a robust process and the cheapest to run rods per pound are cheaper than wire although dual shield is a must if it's a production secernio short circuit mig is dangerous on thick steel spray transfer is great but limited positioning stick is the go to really

That was some Wallered out holes to have to fill in !!! farm equipment gets a lot of abuse ..Even if you grease a pin it's gonna wear from use

Nice work. Nice camera work. Useful info. Thanks for posting.

A couple of questions: on those fill jobs on thick material, do you remember what you were using? 7018? 7018AC? I don't do a lot of filling, but I do some on material up to 3/8". 7018 is my favorite but 1/8" 6013 isn't bad, except for the heavy flux.

Out of curiosity, why not use 7014 or 7024? I don't use either one but I'm tempted to try them out.

What size rods do you use the most? Any particular brand you favor? I'm new to stick welding.
