I've read a book called the Old testament and something struck me as familiar. Seems to me the old Israelites, in spite of being eye witnesses to blunt 'in your face' type miracles from above, couldn't tell the difference between God and Baal within a few generations. I guess when it comes to God, 'what have you done for me lately', becomes the resounding theme song in times of progress and prosperity. It seems that is where we are today, not where we're headed. Now that many woke christians are finally getting their acts together and being more inclusive to Baal worship and Asherah poles, finding the authentic Christian church seems to be following an ever narrowing

I came to faith as an adult and my Church home has been an SBC Church. There has been much turmoil in recent years. The retiring of a beloved Pastor. The transition to a new Pastor after a multi-year search has been controversial and divisive. It is disturbing and difficult to see the direction the SBC is going. Thank you for your honest assessment which may be grim yet still offered a ray of hope and a reminder of who and what we are called to be - followers of Christ who are not ashamed of the Gospel.

SBC seem to be more concerned with placating and pacifying for the sake of inclusion believing that is how to win the world to Christ. Ultimately bypassing scripture (even with secondary matters) in order to demonstrate progressivism. I pray for Rick Warren and like minded leaders who pridefully elevate "their" accomplishments, instead of humbly accepting the authority of God's word. A large institution doesn't mean it's blessed by God. And trying to stay relevant as not to offend the world, never pleases God.

Galatians 1:10, "For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ."

Are you guys going to do one about the PCA after this week? I’d love to hear thoughts on that. Our Pastor said our church will be leaving the PCA if 23&37 aren’t dealt with.

For what it’s worth, my husband called the executive offices of the SBC and received a return phone call and was told they were no longer working with this company as of May. They should make a formal announcement. Didn’t know about the Rick Warren and women “impastors”thing, that is truly maddening; especially since we in our small town are looking for a pastor and are prayerfully seeking a spirit lead man who is prepared to go to war.
