These videos are awesome, I wish I had them a couple years ago... for us in the non-ivy schools the prospect of getting recruited is like a mirage

Graduated in December with a CS degree..no job offers for 5 months now :( many interviews but no luck.

I have a degree in business management and took networking and cybersecurity certs straight out of uni, as well as uploading code to github. And I've only worked tech jobs. Landing the first job is always the hardest.

The tech industry always mention a script on their job offering page “equal opportunity/affirmative Action Employer/Gender Identity, etc” but the fact is that they only sort candidates from IVY league. This is contradiction and giving false hope to others who doesn’t have an opportunity to pursue their academic grades… Hmm… :(

Thanks for this interview, Mayuko. My question is "why are still there more tech jobless grads when there also more tech positions advertised"?

No matter the situation, a two month interview process is asinine. All that time you wasted on coding tests you could have been teaching your stack.

I just graduated from Georgia State with my CS degree, getting 2+ rejection emails a day at this point. I forgot to get 4+ years experience working as a software engineer while getting my degree and it's really setting me back LOL

I’m kind of confused of when she was talking about when to start applying like what dates did she mean? Also why did she say graduating in December is bad?
