Hearing Tool for the first time, and learning what an octopus is both on the same day would be too much for my mind to handle. These guys rock.

"There are jobs in which you have time to breathe or think, but this requires you to be disconnected from the world". The man nailed it!

"He needs a singer who can match his speed. Someone like Sir Michael Jackson." Maynard- you're fired! 😅

I love “what an honor it is to play for so many people”……simple reminder of how gratefulness can also be expressed in giving, rather than receiving.

These gentlemen are so humble, and the thought of Michael Jackson as the frontman for TOOL got a good laugh from me!

"his talent is worth experiencing" is such an unbelievable compliment

Danny Carey looks like the kind of person who would stand with these gentlemen and talk about the finer points of how to manage a garden with beverages in hand.

The guy with the glasses IMMEDIATELY ripping into Maynard is my favorite part XD

Rank #26 in the Rolling Stones top 100 is CRIMINAL. Top 5 AT LEAST, if not the best to ever do it.

The older gentleman with the long beard had such profound and accurate observations about what it takes to play drums at the level that Danny Carey does. I am sure that Danny himself would agree with much that he had to say. He has studied rhythm so long and at such breadth including rhythms in regions not so far from where this video was recorded to be the master that he is. The roots of his talent spreads across the whole world.

Thank you for showing these kind men what we love and allowing them to show us their thoughtful appreciation for it.

The one dude saying Maynard James Keenen is too "lazy" for Danny Careys performance and energy, and that he needed a singer with "blazing energy, like Michael Jackson"... lol, that comment made my day. I'd love to see Maynards reaction to it.

One of the things I love more than Tool is watching other people listening to Tool for the first time

I love Abdul. What an incredibly intelligent man. He noticed that Danny's pads have different tones assigned to different areas of the pad

Danny was about 59 or 60 when this live video recorded by his drumsticks' supplier, Vic Firth. Danny Carey is known by Tool's fans as "Octopus" because hands (arms) and legs (feet) independently have their own rhythms controls. By the way, Danny would love seeing their reactions of drumming skills.

Dude with the glasses was FEELIN it! Always a joy to see people across the world experience Tool for the first time. Danny Carey in particular is quite possibly the greatest drummer alive after Neil Peart passed.

Mr. Abdul was right there as a tool fan. No talking, no moving around, a tear in his eye during the breakdown. Tool is meant to move you mentally. Pneuma is the best song, it hits you in the feelers. Great video

Great choice. Danny is a very special drummer, there are not many like him.
