I think that the biggest problem with this is that the user will have to keep switching looking at the bad and the screen, IMO that's really bad because if all of the stuff is at screen you can just 'do' things without shifting your focus anywhere else.

For everyone who says "just make a touchscreen" do they not understand this is to have buttons that are not available right away on the screen. How could you possibly do this with a touch screen?

i could see this useful, changing tools on final cut and logic pro can be distracting. Also when using fullscreen mode i could see this as a being pretty useful

Looks like she's trying really hard to look at this tiny display. They should make something similar but you don't have to look at it, right above the trackpad.

Meanwhile modern technology the whole screen of the laptop is a touch screen. cough cough RAZER!!!

I edit professionally on a M1 Pro for my mobile station and just wanted to check and see how stupid the Touch Bar would be for Final Cut and I was not disappointed.

nobody wants to keep tapping on to their screen especially at an upright angle.

I would prefer that they still keep the touchbar but install an oled into trackpad instead to mirror the screen so I won't get fingerprints on my screen

I am pretty sure I had a friend with an HP laptop with a 'touch bar' function with volume controls. Thats was in 2008. Sorry, Apple fans but Apple is dying. Too focused on margins not innovations.

Apple, I have lost all faith in you, if I ever had any to begin with. I still have my mid-2012 macbook pro, I have upgraded the ram and plan to put in a ssd. The next computer I buy, with probably be a PC, most likely a surface.

Why not make the whole screen touchable as well, it will make it easier to work without straining your eyes in a small, uncomfortable position, silly touch bar.
